Danesh Ethan and Olinga Anna Flaismanova
Ethan:
Ethan is an undergraduate student at the Central European University in the Culture, Politics and Society Programme. Originally from Canada, but raised in the United Kingdom, Ethan’s interests are in gender issues, nationalism and sociology. He also has a keen personal interest in aviation, and by extension aviation regulatory policies and the environment, and researching the history of Ashkenazi Jews, in particular from Hungary, Poland and Lithuania during the period of pogroms that kickstarted mass migrations of Jews to the United States. He hopes to graduate from the culture, politics and society programme in 2023 and pursue graduate studies in gender studies or sociology, with his research focus being the role of white American women in right-wing extremist movements and ideology both historically and in the present.
Anna:
Anna is an undergraduate student at the Central European University in the Culture, Politics and Society Programme. Originally from the Czech republic, Anna’s academic interests are in gender issues and sociology. She has a keen interest in helping others and researching gender issues such as domestic gender violence, its causes and its exacerbating factors. She hopes to graduate from the culture, politics and society programme in 2023 and pursue graduate studies in gender studies or sociology, with her domestic violence studies as a research focus.
