Takawira Tyrone Nkululeko (TY)
Tyrone Nkululeko Takawira is a Zimbabwean-born storyteller. He enjoys expressing fictional and non-fictional concepts through poetry, short stories and essays. He is a graduate of Ashesi University (Class of 2022) – where he studied Mechanical Engineering. He is the 2020 Global and Anglophone Winner of the Wole Soyinka International Essay Competition – wherein his winning essay focused on the importance of togetherness, particularly since the arrival of the pandemic. His work has been featured in magazines such as Eboquills and The Kalahari Review – and in anthologies such as Black Lives (by Nottingham Writers Studio, United Kingdom) and Pen, Paper & Poets (Zimbabwe).
