Aly Etchison is a poet, songwriter, composer, and author born in America. Raised in the pure prairie heartland of Nebraska, she came of age in the Southern urban metropolis of Atlanta, and is currently studying Liberal Arts at Bard Microcollege Brooklyn. Etchison commutes to classes from Easton, Pennsylvania every day, getting up at 3:30am and arriving home five hours after she leaves Brooklyn Public Library. She writes about friendship and nature. The keen, haunting pictures Aly Etchison paints with words and melodies, of people others sometimes find invisible and unvalued, refresh the 21st century soul.
