Samirah Tabassum teaches in the Department of English and Humanities at BRAC University. With previous experience of working as a consultant for UN agencies, she has also been serving as a facilitator to train young women peacebuilders in the host communities of Ukhiya and Ramu besides collaborating with Rohingya singers, artists, and photographers in various capacities since 2017. Currently she is working on two independent projects that involve the creation of an archive of Rohingya creative practices and tracing the malleable and transformative aspects of memory and space within the context of the Rohingya diaspora.
